Fee Sharing

RibbleChain’s fee-sharing mechanism distributes transaction fees between Layer 1 (L1) validators and Layer 3 (L3) rollup operators, incentivizing network participation. This guide explains how fee sharing works.

How Fee Sharing Works

  • L1 Fees: Paid in $XRB for transactions on RibbleChain’s L1, fully distributed to validators.
  • L3 Fees: Rollups charge fees in $XRB or custom tokens, with 50% shared with L1 validators.
  • Distribution: Fees are allocated proportionally to staked $XRB.

Prerequisites

  • Staked $XRB as a validator or delegator (see Staking Tokens).
  • RibbleChain CLI: npm install -g ribblechain-cli.
